I am an active member of several research communities, including a research group on Third World Approaches to International Law (TWAIL) and the Bonavero Institute of Human Rights at Oxford. I also served as a member of the editorial board for Millennium: Journal of International Studies (2019-2023) and the Cornell Journal of International Law (2018-2019). I sometimes record podcast episodes.
I was born on land which was made available following the legally sanctioned genocide of Indigenous communities in California, and as a young student I was never taught in school about the many massacres which took place near my hometown. Moreover, as a scholar of law & genocide at Oxford (a site of violent and discriminatory knowledge production for hundreds of years), I try to make the world a better place than my predecessors.
In my personal life, I travel, listen to loud music, and lose to my friends at our "Survivor" fantasy league. I am proudly queer and use any pronouns.
